In addition to the regular Komsomol badges awarded upon joining the Komsomol, badges were issued for special achievements. The highest award, the Komsomol Badge of Honor, was issued with a unique number and doсument. For example Yuri Gagarin, the first cosmonaut, was awarded this badge.
